SWS 2003   SWS 2010

The Sonic Wire Sculptor is one of several works that the musician Amit Pitaru made around 2003 to explore basic conenctions between sound and visuals.

Amit used the first itteration of SWS for his live performances (mostly in Brooklyn NY). A later version was created as a public installation where the SWS Machine would be placed in the center of a room and connected to an 8-channel surround system.

In the past 5 years the work has traveled worldwide to such cities as Tokyo, Barcelona, Linz, Montreal, and L.A. In every stop, the audiance recorded their works into what has now become a library of thousands of sonic sculptors.
